IANA Salenko

The Ukrainian Ballerina Iana Salenko is a principal of the Berlin State Ballet. You made its debut at the Royal Ballet as Guest Artist in 2013 as Kitri (Don chisciotte). Since then she returned to dance Kitri and Odette / Odile (Lake of the Swans) and in the 2015/16 season she dances Giulietta (Romeo and Juliet), Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux, young girl (The two pigeons), Fairy Confetto (The Nutcracker) AndGiselleWith the Royal Ballet.

Salenko was born in Kiev and was formed at the Pisared Ballet School, Donetsk, graduating in 2000. She was a member of the Donetsk Ballet 2000-02 before joining the Kiev Opera Ballet as a principal. She became part of the Berlin State Ballet in 2005 as a demi-soloist, promoted to solo in 2006 and principal in 2007. The roles of her in Berlin included Cinderella of Vladimir Malakhov, Princess Aurora (The Sleeping Beautyby Malakhov), Marie (The nutcracker ofPatrice Bart), Olga (Onegin ofJohn Cranko),TCHAIKOVSKY PAS de Deux , Sylphide ofPeter Schaufuss eRomeo and Julietof Cranko. The numerous awards of her include the first awards to the international ballet competitions of Helsinki and Nagoya in 2005.

Salenko performs regularly as a guest artist around the world, with commitments including Kitri in Florence, Monaco, Moscow and Rome, Princess Aurora in Essen and Bratislava, Odette / Odile (Lake of the Swans) In Bratislava and the confused fairy in Slovenia.
